Seekers Search has been retained exclusively to recruit a National Business Development Manager located between eastern and central USA to represent MIPS. MIPS goal is to improve head protection by reducing harmful rotational motion caused by an angled impact from a worker falling or being struck by a falling object. In certain angled impacts, Mips® safety systems can reduce harmful forces that may otherwise be transmitted to the head. The low-friction layer inside the helmet allows multi-directional movement on certain angled impacts, intended to help reduce rotational force and subsequently, reduce the risk of injury.

The candidate will be required to identify new business opportunities to support existing Mips partners and to sell the Mips solution to manufacturers of head protection operating in the US safety market.  You will be tasked with promoting, identifying, educating and supporting manufacturers selling into the following sectors:- 

  • Construction

  • General industry

  • Maintenance

  • Renewables (Wind Power)

  • Energy and Utilities

  • Military

  • Fire / Rescue

  • Arboriculture

  • Rope access

  • Rigging

  • And other markets where end users are paid to work (opposed to recreational activities) while wearing a helmet / hard hat / bump cap etc.

​ Further, the Candidate shall:

  • Work with the Client’s sales team to achieve overall strategy and tactics in sync with corporate targets and CEO;

  • Plan to grow existing clients;

  • Plan to grow new business;

  • Make and maintain forecasting based on actual status and prognosis with inputs from the end users;

  • Keep the information in the CRM system up to date;

  • Make sure that actual status of sales is accurate; and

  • Be part of the negotiation and closing of contract with the end users, with the target to have the contracts signed before mass production starts.

This will be achieved via regular sales work (such as cold calls, meetings, sales presentations etc.) as well as through education, training, PR and marketing activities.

​The sales, education, PR and marketing activities will be directed to manufacturers, distributors, unions, end user companies, end user individuals, media and any other instances that could be relevant to develop the Mips business in the USA.

The Candidate will be required to present a Sales and Marketing plan for the US based on the corporate targets and strategies, with final approval from the Client’s Senior BDM of Safety and/or the CEO.


The US Sales and Marketing plan will be reviewed and amended (if needed) every 6 months and shall include (but not be limited to) targeted helmet manufacturers, dates of marketing and PR events (such as trade shows, webinars, round table events etc.), what industries to focus on, what geographical regions within the US to focus on, new product requests etc.

On a monthly recurring basis, the candidate must provide their Senior Business Development Manager with updates on progress. In addition, the Candidate shall follow reasonable instructions provided by the Client’s CEO and Senior Business Developer Safety from time to time.
